Carr says Tipp win is important for Hurling Inc.

September 14, 2008
Tipperary U21 hurling boss Declan Carr says a win today for the Premier County against Kilkenny in the All-Ireland U21 final is important for the game of hurling as much as for hurling in Tipp. "It wouldn't take a rocket scientist to tell you that it's not good for the game," said Carr of Kilkenny's achievement in winning senior, intermediate and minor All-Ireland titles this year so far. "It's important for the rest of the counties that we beat Kilkenny. For the first time in a long time you'll have people shouting for Tipperary that normally wouldn't. "But they're not shouting for Tipperary, they're shouting for hurling."
