The O'Donovan Rossa junior hurlers cemented their place in their first junior A championship final since 1956 after an outstanding team performance full of skill and determination, with a comprehensive twelve point victory over Dohenys in Ardfield last Tuesday evening on a 3-12 to 0-9 scoreline. Skibb started brightly with Rob Long scoring two goals within the opening ten minutes to give Skibb's hopes of victory a massive boost. Unerring accuracy from set pieces from deadly duo Alan Foley and Kevin Cotter helped Skibb hold a five point interval lead. Skibb dominated the second half with their backs particularly imperious leading the charge. Kevin Cotter tacked on a late injury time goal to secure a well deserved and emphatic victory.
