Mayo to receive 1300 tickets
September 04, 2008
The scramble for All-Ireland football tickets has begun already in Mayo after it was revealed that the county will only receive in the region of 1300 for the showpiece of the year.
Following the success of the minor side in last weekend's comfortable win over Kerry in the All-Ireland semi final replay, there has been a keen interest in tickets for the final against Tyrone.
However, Mayo county secretary Seam Feeney revealed that their allocation would be relatively small particularly given the interest from supporters wishing to go.
"We receive 300 every year for the All-Ireland final and with the minor participation we will get an extra 1,000," said Feeney. We'd hope to get in the region of 1,500 tickets before the big day."
