Ladies Football Final
All roads lead to Tubber this Saturday 6th Sept as our ladies take on St. Rynaghs in the junior final. The game throws in at 3.30pm. So grab your flags, jersey, and colours and come along to support the team as they try to win the first bit of silverware this year for Shamrocks. We wish the team and management the very best of luck.
Senior Hurling Playoff
Our senior hurlers suffered another disappointing defeat to Clareen at the weekend. See match report elsewhere. They now play Drumcullen in a must win game.
Junior Hurling Quarter Final
The junior hurlers have reached the quarter final of the championship following a well deserved one point win over Drumcullen. The game was in the balance up to the very end, but a great Aidan Flaherty goal proved the difference between the sides. We wish them the all very best as they play Killeigh in the quarter final this weekend. See fixtures elsewhere.
Back to school
Best wishes for the new school year to all the students in the parish as they return to school.
U14 B Hurling semi final
The U14 hurlers were defeated in the B semi final where they went down to Kinnitty in Killurin last Monday evening. They are a young team and will come back all the stronger.
Minor Football
The minor footballers were beaten 1.10 to 1.06 by Na Fianna on Monday evening last in Geashill.
U16 Football
The U16 footballers had a good 2.9 to 1.3 win over Birr on Wed night. They have now qualified for the semi final where they will meet Ballycumber / Tubber.

In their last group game Shamrocks defeated Edenderry in Mucklagh on Saturday on a scoreline of 4.8 to 2.5. The U12 footballers are playing St Vincents in the U12A football Semi final next Tuesday night in Durrow at 6.30pm.
