Following the last round of group matches in the senior hurling championship, the draw for the knockout stages has been made as Tullamore must go the long route. Despite topping Group 2, Tullamore must play a quarterfinal against Kilcormac/Killoughey, while the winners of the other groups, Coolderry and Kinnity go straight through to the semi finals. It is tough on Tullamore as they beat Birr in a group game, and although they face a tough clash in the quarterfinals, they will be buoyed by that win over the county champions. The other pairing for the quarterfinals see Birr take on Shinrone, while three clubs will battle it out to avoid relegation, Shamrocks, Drumcullen and Seir Kieran. Tweet
