The Coaching & Games Development Committee's U12 hurling and football skills fun day was held in Cloghan on Saturday last and turned out to be a very enjoyable and successful occasion. "Overall we had 42 footballers and 13 hurlers who took part in the skills fun day" said Colin Malone and they all enjoyed the various drills etc that we put them through. Ultimately though there was a competitive element with five chosen is each discipline to go forward to the provincial series. The following were the winners in each code;
FOOTBALL:
Aaron Mc Gorman - Rockcorry
David Wilson - Donaghmoyne
Patrick Crossan - Corduff
Darren Sherlock - Truagh
Padraig Marron - Carrickmacross
HURLING:
James McKenna - Monaghan Harps
Conor Boyle - Truagh
Kevin Tomany - Clontibret
Tiernan Bramley - Monaghan Harps
Darren O Reilly - Carrickmacross
These players will represent Monaghan in the Ulster U12 Skills Fun Day on Saturday September 13th at the Mid Ulster Sports Arena in Cookstown.
DEVELOPMENT SQUADS.
The U17 Ulster Development Squad Blitz takes place in Cloghan this Saturday starting at 11.00am. All Monaghan players are requested to be at Cloghan for 10.15am sharp.
