Mark O'Brien shot 1-9 as Cork cruised to a 3-18 to 0-12 victory over Waterford in the Munster MHC at Fraher Field last night.

The accurate Douglas forward continued his impressive scoring form, with Adam Lee and Jack Hegarty also contributing 1-1 each and Luke Murphy 0-3 as John Meyler's side made it two wins out of three. Despite failing to register a win thus far, Waterford can still qualify for the All-Ireland series if they beat Limerick at the TUS Gaelic Grounds next Thursday.

Cork stormed into a 10-point lead after 20 minutes before the hosts reduced the deficit to seven, 0-7 to 2-8, at the break. But it was all over bar the shouting when O'Brien raised the winners' third green flag midway through the second half.
