Brian Dooher didn't mince his words after Tyrone were thumped by Dublin.

The Red Hands conceded five goals in a humiliating 21-point defeat at Croke Park which leaves them with plenty of work to do ahead of the Ulster SFC.

“There’s not much to take out of that to be perfectly honest,” the Red Hands joint-manager told the assembled media.

“And to call it what it is, it’s a bit of an embarrassment.

“It just wasn’t good enough, and we know that. There’s no point making excuses. It’s just not where we need to be.

“For one reason or another, we just weren’t at the races there, and we were punished every time we made errors, well and truly punished for it, and rightly so. I’m not going to say there’s excuses for it, because there isn’t.

"It wasn’t good enough. We need to take a good look at ourselves, both players and managers going forward for the next three or four weeks to get ready for Monaghan or Cavan in the Championship.”
