O'Callaghan an injury doubt for Kerry game

Dublin's Con O'Callaghan with Tom O'Sullivan of Kerry

A shoulder injury is threatening Con O'Callaghan's participation in Dublin's Allianz Football League opener against Kerry at Croke Park on Saturday week.

The Irish Independent is reporting that the Cuala dual star is a doubt for the All-Ireland final rematch after injuring his shoulder in the warm-up before UCD's Sigerson Cup clash with UUJ yesterday. O'Callaghan, who had just returned from Dublin's team holiday in Bali, was unable to play as a result, but UCD still prevailed after extra-time.

The two-time All Star, whose younger brother Niall scored two goals for what was effectively a third string Dublin team against Longford in the O'Byrne Cup on Saturday, is due to have the injury assessed today.
