Malachy O'Rourke has stepped down as Monaghan senior football manager in the wake of this evening's 1-12 to 2-17 All-Ireland SF qualifier defeat to Armagh in Clones.
Monaghan GAA revealed the news in a tweet and thanked the Fermanagh native for the "great memories".
O'Rourke masterminded the Anglo Celt Cup victories of 2013 and '15 and last year guided the Farney County to a first All-Ireland semi-final since 1988.
