Johnny Doyle is poised to make a sensational return to the Kildare colours at the age of 42.

However, it isn't with the seniors but with the county juniors according to reports this evening. Doyle brought the curtain down on his 14-year inter-county career in April 2014, but has continued to impress for his club Allenwood and is expected to feature for the Lilywhites' junior team in their Leinster championship meeting with Longford at Newbridge on Wednesday evening.

His involvement should draw a few extra spectators to St Conleth's Park!

Johnny Doyle is on the Kildare Junior Football Panel, there has to be some of record there somehwhere. Some going to be fair.
