Armagh hurling club Craobh Rua Camlocha have paid tribute to lifelong club member Seán Byrne, who died in the Mourne Mountains on Sunday.
An experienced hill walker, Seán was one of two men in their sixties who tragically died within an hour of each other two days ago following separate falls in the mountains.
It is understood that the Camlough man – a long-serving volunteer and former treasurer of the local hurling club – died on Wee Binnian shortly before midday.
His requiem mass will be held at the Church of St Malachy, Carrickcruppen at 11am tomorrow morning, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
