"Brilliant viewing" was how top rugby referee Nigel Owens described yesterday's All-Ireland SHC final.
The Welsh official took to twitter to voice his approval of the entertainment served up by Limerick and Galway at GAA HQ.
The lack of rules appealed to him!
What a game. The All Ireland Hurling Final was def worth watching. Full of passion, commitment, speed, excitement, physicality & it seemed not many rules either lol. Really enjoyed it. Last 5mins was frantic & nerve wrecking for both supporters thats for sure. Brilliant viewing

Owens has been a keen follower of the small ball code since watching Kilkenny's 2015 Leinster SHC final success over the Tribesmen...
TweetJust watching my first game of Hurling Kilkenny v Galway. Think I am going to be a Hurling fan. Very enjoyable and exiting I must say
