Lennon expecting more of the same

Monaghan selector Owen Lennon believes that Sunday's All-Ireland SFC semi-final against Tyrone will be a tight affair as has become the norm between the sides in recent meetings.

Lennon has had plenty of experiences of these tussles as a player down through the years, while he has been involved in a few as a selector also.

And, the former midfielder stressed to the Ulster Herald that there is never much between the sides and added that Sunday will be no different.

"We expect it to be similar to recent matches. The two teams are very familiar with each other," stated Lennon.

"Small margins will be decisive. Tyrone have watched a lot of our matches and will be looking at the game we beat them in. Both teams will be trying to get that edge on each other and whoever does will probably win.

"We have taken a lot out of our matches this year so hopefully we have the experience to deal with another game in Croke Park."
