Limerick manager John Kiely admits that they know what Galway are all about, but insists stopping them is an entirely different matter.

Galway's style of play has been in the public domain for a few years now, but no other county has been able to match it in the championship either this year or last year.

Limerick will be the latest county to try and put a halt to the Galway juggernaut, but they will take a lot of heart from the fact that Clare came within a whisker of ending their unbeaten run.

"We know what Galway are at," Kiely told the Limerick Leader. "We have seen them for the last five years. They are a really powerful unit and haven't lost a game this championship; eight games unbeaten and went through last year's Leinster championship and All-Ireland series unbeaten as well.

"They are the form horse and the standard bearers in hurling in the country at the moment."
