Cavan County Board have announced that John Brady has stepped down from his position as Cavan Minor football team manager.

In his two years in charge, Brady guided Cavan's U18s to last year's All Ireland Semi final, the first Cavan minor team to do so since 1974, where they were defeated by eventual champions Kerry. He also led the U17s to the Ulster final where they were beaten by All Ireland winners, Tyrone.

This years Minor Ulster Championship ended with defeat to Monaghan at the semi-final stage, after wins over Derry and Fermanagh in the previous rounds.

Cavan GAA thanked John Brady and his staff in a post on their offical website... "Cavan GAA sincerely thank John and all who assisted him and acknowledge them for their huge commitment and dedication to the development of the teams and players they worked with.

"We are hopeful that all involved will continue to contribute to the development of Cavan GAA and we wish them well for the future."
