Kildare manager Joe Quaid believes that there is no better finisher in the game at the moment than Jack Sheridan.

Quaid was talking all levels of the game and that is a far compliment to the Kildare forward who would be in prestigious company in that regard.

Sheridan found the back of the net twice in the Christy Ring Cup semi-final win over Derry last Sunday afternoon as the Lilywhites booked their place in this year's final where they will face London.

Speaking to the Leinster Leader, the Limerick native was keen to praise Sheridan, but added that it certainly wasn't a one-man show last weekend.

"At any level there is no better finisher in the game than Jack. He had a slow start to the season but I kept talking to him and telling him it was going to come good," said Quaid.

"Paddy McKenna (goalkeeper) has had an unbelievable league and championship; his shot stopping is second to none and the way he puts his body on the line was outstanding.

"But we are looking forward to going back to Croke Park now. That's where every player wants to be and every manager wants to be."
