UCD remain on course to make up for the disappointment of last year's final defeat after getting the better of Dublin rivals DCU by 0-16 to 1-9 in today's quarter-final.

John Divilly's charges were quickest out of the blocks and raced into a 0-7 to 0-0 lead by the end of the opening quarter but, inspired by Roscommon ace Diarmuid Murtagh, DCU fought back to trail by the bare minimum at the break.

Murtagh netted the game's only goal on the stroke of half-time to leave the scoreboard reading UCD 0-8, DCU 1-4 at the halfway point.

That proved to be as good as it got for the hosts, however, as the Belfield outfit outscored them by eight points to five after the break.

UCD's reward is last four clash with UUJ which is scheduled to be played at a neutral venue next Tuesday.
