The Model County might be creating more headlines in hurling than football right now but the remarkable achievements of Good Counsel New Ross in capturing the Leinster 'A' juvenile football championship are pretty eyebrow-raising.
This afternoon, the Blues U14s roared to an incredible 7-10 to 1-1 victory over Dublin's St Aidan's CBS, Whitehall in a one-sided provincial final.
This follows their 4-16 to 0-6 semi-final dismantling of St Patrick's of Navan last week. Sounds like there are some brilliant young footballers coming through on the Wexford / Kilkenny border!
