Dublin's hurlers and their manager Pat Gilroy have a bit of soul searching to do following Saturday's heavy loss at the hands of Offaly.

The 1-15 to 2-25 defeat was a real eye opener for Gilroy and, afterwards, he told The Irish Independent: "We all have to look at ourselves and come up with the answers.

"Our intensity was probably half of what we intended to bring to that game.

"Our movement of the ball was poor and pretty much everything that we set out to do, we didn't."
