St Attracta's, Tubbercurry have retained the Connacht PPS 'A' senior football league crown following a hard-fought victory over Rice College, Westport.
The scoreboard read, St Attracta's 2-8 Rice College 1-7, when the full-time whistle blew at the Connacht GAA centre this afternoon.
The south Sligo school made the most of a strong breeze at their backs as two quick-fire goals helped them ahead by double-scores at the interval - 2-8 to 1-4 - with Red Óg Murphy pulling the strings for the eventual winners.

Despite not scoring for the entire second-half, Colm McGee's side held firm while Rice College could only manage three-points with the conditions in their favour.
Yesterday saw St Nathy's, Ballaghaderreen capture the Connacht PPS SF 'B' senior football league title at the expense of Presentation College, Athenry following a free-kick shoot-out.
