Faithful Fields out of bounds for Offaly teams

January 07, 2018

Tony Leavy RIP.

Three of Offaly's inter-county teams have had to find alternative pitches to train on this weekend due to the unavailability of the newly-opened Faithful Fields.

The minor hurlers, U20 footballers and ladies intermediate team were denied access to the new Centre of Excellence in Kilcormac amid reports that officials were trying to protect the pitches.

As a result, the minor hurlers had the train outside the county on St. Loman's 3G pitch in Mullingar, the U20 footballers rescheduled their session for Cappincur, while the ladies footballers will train in Edenderry this morning.
