Shane O'Neills club notes

March 30, 2015

Senior Men

Our senior men were back in action on Sunday afternoon with a challenge away to Drumgath. The lads have been playing some decent football over the past few weeks and this continued on Sunday with another good performance from the Shanes.

Senior Ladies

Following their promotion to Division 1 our senior ladies have the first league game of the year on Wednesday evening, 1st April at home to Armagh Harps. All players are asked to meet at the club at 6.15pm.

Minor Boys

Our minor boys are training at the club on Monday evenings at 7.15pm sharp and all players are asked to be at the club for 7.00pm. All boys available to play minor football are asked to be in attendance.

U16 Boys

Our U16 boys had another challenge game on Sunday morning, this time away to Ballyholland. Despite leading at the half-time the Shanes put in a disappointing second-half display and eventually lost by a single point. Training continues as normal this week.

U16 Girls

Our U6 girls have their first league on Monday evening, 30th March away to Clann Eireann and all girls are asked to meet at the club at 5.45pm.

U14 Girls

Training for the U-14 girls will move outdoor this week, taking place at the field at 6.30pm on Wednesday evening and a big well done to all the girls who trained in Bessbrook Community Centre over the last nine weeks.  The first U-14 Division 1 League game is away to Clan na Gael on Monday 13th April and it is important that all registrations are completed this week. Any outstanding registration forms to be given to Paci on Wednesday evening at training.

U12½ Boys

This year's U12½ are now training at the field twice a week - on Friday nights at 6.00pm and Sunday mornings at 11.00am. All boys eligible to play at this age group in 2015 are asked to attend.

U12 Girls

Training for the U12 girls continues each Saturday at 11.00am in the field and all new girls are welcome. The U12 girls will have their first league game on Sunday 12th April away to Grange.

U10s & U8s

Training for our U10 & U8 footballers has also moved outdoors on Friday evenings at 6.00pm at the club and again on Sunday mornings at 11.00am. All boys and girls at this age group are welcome and encouraged to attend.

U6s

Please note that U6 training is taking a break now for a couple of weeks due to the Easter holidays. There will be no training on Wednesday 1st and 8th April but it will resume on Wednesday 15th April at 6.00pm Bessbrook Community Centre. All boys and girls at this age group are welcome and encouraged to attend.
