Well done to our Gaelic4Mothers team who travelled down to Baile Átha Cliath to take part in the Gaelic4Mothers national blitz over the weekend. Comhghairdeas to Ilish Farrell who was voted Players' Player of the Year.
Our Under 16 footballers had their end of year celebration on Friday night. Comhghairdeas to Josh Megoran and Adam Henderson who got awards for their roles on the victorious Lismore team and to Emmet Tighe & Jamie Haughey for their roles on the victorious St Paul's team. Comhghairdeas to U16 Player of the Year Matthew Hagan and Most Improved Player Joe Crilly. Maith sibh. Go raibh maith agat to Finnian Moriarty who preseneted the awards and to Tommy Stevenson who visited the club to speak to the lads.
Comhghairdeas to Stephen Murray who took charge of the Armagh Senior football final on Sunday. Well done to Stephen and to his four umpires Kieran Murrary, Kieran Murray Jr, John Henderson and Damien Toman. Well done to Dara Mulholland and Aoibh Hendron who represented the club and our local primary school St Patrick's Aghacommon in the half time game during the Armagh Senior Football final. Comhghairdeas to Aaron Kernan who was awarded the Bill McCorry Memorial Trophy for the Man of the Match award in the senior county final. This was Aaron's fourth time winning the trophy and he was presented with his trophy and plaque by Eamonn McCarron on behalf of the club.
Scór
Comhghairdeas to our seven representatives in the Armagh Scór na bPáistí competition, which was held in the Athletic Grounds on Saturday. Well done to our six dancers and to our solo singer and musician Jessica Craig. Well done and thank you very much girls. Go raibh maith agat to our Irish dancing tutor Aislinn and to all of the parents for their support.
Wolfe Tones and St Enda's will compete in the first round of Scór na nÓg on Sunday 9 November in Derrytrasna. Scór na nÓg is open to anyone who is under 17 on 1 January 2015 and if you would like to compete in any of the competitions, contact our Culture Officer Seán Ó Maoilsté.
Camógaíocht/Camogie
Camogie4Mothers will commence on Thursday 6th Nov from 8-9pm @ CP Sports in Lurgan and then every Thursday after that from 7-8pm. Everyone is welcome and no experience is necessary. Equipment will be provided and a good night's craic is guaranteed.
Dioscó/Children's Disco
We will be hosting a children's disco at the club on Friday 24 October at 7pm with DJ Chris O'Connor. Admission is just £2.50 so get practicing your moves kids.
Crannchur/Lotto
This week's lotto numbers (13.10.14) were 13, 15, 17 and 22. There was no jackpot winner and match 3 winners were D Magee, Brian Smith, Gerry McDonald and Mary Doyle. Sellers prize went to the bar and next week's jackpot will be £5,400.
Cúrsa/Course
The club will be hosting a training course on job skills in the hospitality industry on Monday 27th and Wednesday 29th October between 7pm and 9.30pm. This free training will earn participants a Level 2 City and Guild award and would be a great addition to your CV, UCAS or CAO application form, etc. If you are interested in attending, you are asked to contact any committee member or send a message via club Facebook asap.
