Armagh manager Paul Grimley was delighted that his players were able to build on last weekend's win over Tyrone against Roscommon today.

The Orchard County came away from Dr Hyde Park with a 1-17 to 1-12 qualifier victory and, afterwards, Grimley broke his vow of silence to speak to former Mayo and Armagh footballer Billy Joe Padden on Newstalk's Off the Ball programme.

"I'm delighted by it," he said of their five-point success.

"It was very important that after the Tyrone victory last week that we sort of put them back-to-back because in the past when we got a morale boosting win like we did last week we sort of faltered in the next round.

"Thankfully today we pushed on and we got two back-to-back victories which is more than pleasing."

The Orchard County now turn their attention to a last 16 clash and Grimley is relishing the challenge.

"We're into the top tier now. I think we play the Leinster losers. We're in the top tier, I don't know where that game will be played but one thing we are is looking forward to it."
