Rossa GAC Charity cycle

April 10, 2014

the long journey by bike from the GAA HQ in Antrim Casement Park to the Croke Park in Dublin.
On Sunday May 4th members and friends of O'Donovan Rossa GAC in Belfast will embark on the long journey by bike from the GAA HQ in Antrim Casement Park to the Croke Park in Dublin. This charity cycle has been in the planning since November last year and is in Aid of two cancer charities namely Sarcoma UK and Beating Bowel Cancer.

It seems everyone is touched by cancer these days and indeed our esteemed club member and former Antrim SF manager Ray McDonnell Snr who would have been 68 this week passed away from Sarcoma a few years ago which is why we chose this charity. This coupled with the work of Beating Bowel Cancer in fighting these cancers is why over 75 people have signed up and have been training for over 4 months for the task ahead. The Peleton will be on the road for over 8 hours which is a serious undertaking. We hope to raise significant amount of money for these good causes.

The #Casement2croke cycle can be followed on twitter @casement2croke and any Sponsorship or donations are most welcome either at the club or online through the link provided.

We would like to thank our sponsors so far for all their help including:
Collins furniture
Meat in a bap
The hunting lodge
Mcdriver school of driving
