Cargin are just 60 minutes away from retaining their Antrim SFC title after seeing off former kingpins St Gall's by 2-10 to 1-8 in yesterday's semi-final at Corrigan Park.

Leading by 0-5 to 0-4 at the break, the holders put the result beyond doubt with second half goals from David Johnston and substitute Kieran Close. Aodhan Gallagher netted a consolation goal for the Milltown men in stoppage-time.

The other semi-final between Portglenone and Lamh Dhearg is going to a replay after a Conor Delargy penalty with the last kick of the game in Creggan on Saturday night earned the latter a 2-13 to 3-10 draw.

Meanwhile, Cushendall overcame St John's by 3-13 to 2-12 in their semi-final replay to set up a SHC final showdown with Dunloy. Neil McManus was Ruairi Og's top-scorer with 0-8.
