A combination of injury and work commitments is threatening Conor Carson’s participation in Cushendall’s Ulster club SHC final against Ballycran tomorrow.

The Antrim star picked up an injury in Cushendall’s Antrim SHC final victory over Loughgiel Shamrocks two weeks ago, while things are further complicated by the fact that he has just started a new job as a pilot with Aer Lingus in Spain.

“He isn’t ruled in or ruled out yet,” ‘Dall manager Eamon Gillan explained to the Irish News.

“He has a bit of an injury and he’s working in Spain, so it’s a two-pronged problem. If he’s playing, he’s playing, if not we’ll have somebody else to step in, that’s the beauty of having a panel.

“He’s keen to come back, but it’s never that simple.”
