Bugler on the plane

Brendan Bugler will be on the plane for the All Stars tour of Shanghai today but his Cratloe football team-mates Padraic Collins, Conor McGrath and Conor Ryan are staying put because of Sunday's Munster Club final against Dr Crokes at the Gaelic Grounds.
Bugler was introduced as a substitute in the Clare side's provincial semi-final win over Ballinacourty.
"Look, there's a couple of things I had to take into consideration," he explained to the Irish Daily Star.
"It wasn't just my decision. There were other people, like herself, who had time booked off work and all that, so that was a factor.
"I'd it planned, had time booked off work. I'm in a little bit of a different situation to the rest of the guys, being that Cratloe isn't actually my club.
"I haven't really played too much football with them all year and I wouldn't have started the final anyway."
Better news for Cratloe supporters is that star forward McGrath has successfully appealed his red card from the semi-final and will be eligible to line out.
Meanwhile, All-Ireland winning Banner boss Davy Fitzgerald is not able to make the trip leaving Kilkenny's Brian Cody to look after both teams.
