The arrangements for the Sligo and Laois SFC final replays have been finalised.

Both finals ended in draws last Sunday and will be replayed on the weekend after next. With Markievicz Park out of commission for pitch improvements, the Owen B Hunt rematch between Shamrock Gaels and three-in-a-row chasing Coolera Strandhill will take place once again in Enniscrone on Sunday, October 26 at 3pm.

It’s the second year in succession that the Sligo SFC final has gone to a replay, with Coolera-Strandhill hoping for a similar outcome to last year when they defeated St Molaise Gaels at the second attempt.

The Laois SFC final replay between Portarlington and Courtwood was originally slated for this Saturday, October 18, but will now take place on Saturday, October 25 at 6.30pm under lights at Laois Hire O’Moore Park. The replay was pushed back a week to accommodate Courtwood and Camross dual player Rob Tyrrell, who will line out in this Sunday’s Laois SHC final against Clough-Ballacolla.

The winners of the football final replay will have a week to prepare for the first round of the Leinster club SFC against the Carlow champions.
