Eoin O'Leary, Michael Reidy captain and Gearoid O'Leary with the Mike O'Leary Cup after their win in the Limerick IHC final at the Gaelic Grounds
The Limerick IHC final took on a special meaning for Dromin-Athlacca brothers Gearoid and Eoin O'Leary.

For the brothers played through the heartache of burying their mother Breda just 24 hours before the match.

Dromin-Athlacca had been beaten in the last two finals before finally getting their hands on the Mike O'Leary Cup last weekend when they defeated Knockaderry in the final.

Mike O'Leary was father to Gearoid and Eoin and the family presented the Cup following his passing a few years back with Breda handing over the trophy in 2010.

Both Gearoid and Eoin played significant roles in Dromin-Athlacca's victory, a testament to the two men's character in such emotional times.
