Barry Dunnion is back on the treatment table, but Donegal manager Jim McGuinness doesn't expect him to be sidelined for too long.
The 29-year-old defender recently returned to the county fold after five injury-plagued years - he underwent four major operations in that period - but was injured again while playing for his club Four Masters last Saturday. McGuinness, however, is confident that Dunnion will be back to full fitness in time for the Ulster SFC preliminary round clash with Cavan on May 20.
"Barry's complaint is nothing too serious. It was a wee tweak and should clear up in the next couple of days," he told the Irish News.
While McGuinness is resigned to being without his captain Michael Murphy for the trip to Kingspan Breffni Park, he is happy with the full forward's progress after he recently underwent surgery to repair knee ligament damage.
"Michael is back on the bike and will remain on it for the next three weeks. He'll also start a weights programme for his legs to build up that wee bit of muscle. In and around the weekend of the Cavan match, he'll be back jogging," the manager explained.
