Tipp to lose Grogan and Jones

Tipperary's Barry Grogan
Tipperary are set to lose key duo Brian Jones and Barry Grogan to emigration.

Midfielder Jones and attacking ace Grogan - both of whom starred in the encouraging recent Division Three draw with Longford - have handed new interim Premier County boss Peter Creedon a major pre-championship headache with the news that they're due to travel to Boston at the end of the month to hook up with Meath's Joe Sheridan at the Wolfe Tones club.

Today's Irish Examiner reports that both players are set to miss next month's championship opener against Kerry in Thurles and are unlikely to be available for any of Tipp's subsequent SFC outings this year.

It is estimated that as many as twelve senior players could be lost from Jones' club, Arravale Rovers, to emigration and transfers this year.
