Andrew Dermody and Dan Carty have been drafted into the Westmeath team for Sunday's Allianz Hurling League clash with Derry in Celtic Park.

Lough Lene Gaels clubman Carty replaced Cormac Boyle midway through the second half of the Lake County's first round win over Kerry, and is retained at left half forward. Dermody is named in the other corner, with Alan McGrath the player to lose out.

Erstwhile centre back Andrew Mitchell continues at full forward, while Brendan Murtagh - who won an inter-provincial medal with Leinster last weekend - leads the attack.

Teenager Paul Fennell starts at corner back after featuring for the U21 footballers on Wednesday night.
