Louth's Cathal Bellew
Louth manager Peter Fitzpatrick names five debutants in his side to face Meath.

The Wee County open their competitive season with a difficult trip to Navan for Sunday's O'Byrne Cup quarter-final and the challenge has not been helped by the unavailability of a raft of first-team regulars.

Goalkeeper Dwayne Crosby (St Marys), full back David Collier (St Fechins), wing forwards Cathal Bellew (Kilkerley Emmets) and Eoin O'Connor (St Patricks) and corner forward Ronan Holcroft (St Fechins) will all pull on the red jersey for a senior intercounty match for the first time.

Injury doubts during the week, Paddy Keenan, Declan Byrne and Dessie Finnegan are all named in the starting XV for the derby clash, while the Reid brothers David and Adrian, Mattock clubmate Mark Brennan, Gerard Hoey, Ronan Carroll, Padraig Rath and JP Rooney are included on a strong-looking substitute's bench.

Louth (O'Byrne Cup V Meath): Dwayne Crosby; Dessie Finnegan, David Collier, Jamie Carr; Ray Finnegan, Declan Byrne, Liam Shevlin; Paddy Keenan, Brian Donnelly; Cathal Bellew, Derek Crilly, Eoin O'Connor; Derek Maguire, Andy McDonnell, Ronan Holcroft.
