Cassidy and Hegarty in Donegal squad

Donegal's Kevin Cassidy
Long-serving stars Kevin Cassidy and Michael Hegarty have been named in new Donegal manager Jim McGuinness' McKenna Cup squad.
Former captain Cassidy has been persuaded to return to the fold after announcing his retirement in the wake of last summer's All-Ireland exit at the hands of Armagh, while playmaker Hegarty didn't figure at all last season.
As expected, McGuinness has built his squad around members of this year's under 21 team which he guided to an All-Ireland final appearance, with Peter Boyle, Thomas McKinley, Daniel McLaughlin, Kevin Mulhern and Antoin McFadden joining the likes of new captain Michael Murphy and Dermot 'Brick' Molloy in the senior set-up.
Johnny Bonner and Marty Boyle have also received call-ups after starring in Naomh Conaill's surprise run to last Sunday's Ulster club football final.
