Mark Davoren holds off the challenge of Meath's Kevin Reilly at Croke Park
Mark Davoren will spend another summer on the sidelines for Dublin after it was confirmed yesterday that he has suffered a second torn cruciate knee ligament in 12 months.

The Kilmacud Crokes man had been making his way back towards full fitness after rupturing his cruciate in last year Leinster SFC clash with Meath, but tore the A/C ligament in his right knee again in a recent challenge game with his club and is set to learn the full extent of the injury later today when he undergoes a MRI scan.

The news comes as a blow to Dublin boss Pat Gilroy, who has already had his captain Paul Griffin ruled out for the rest of the season.
