Coney targets county medal

Tyrone's Kyle Coney
Kyle Coney will be going all out to help his club Ardboe to victory over favourites Dromore in Sunday week's Tyrone SFC final.
This time last year, Coney seemed destined for a career in the AFL with the Sydney Swans after starring in Tyrone's capture of the All-Ireland minor title. But by Christmas, he had his mind made up to return to Ireland to resume his GAA career, and he now finds himself on the brink of winning a county medal.
A precocious talent, Coney contributed handsomely to his team's semi-final win over Killyclogher on Sunday, scoring two points. But he is under no illusions about the task which Ardboe face against a Dromore team who are appearing in their third final on the trot and who hammered Ardboe in last year's semi-final.
"Dromore have been very consistent over recent seasons and they have been gaining huge experience in the process," said Coney.
"They will maybe feel that not only can they win the Tyrone title again but, like several sides, will fancy their chances of having a crack at the Ulster Club title.
"We have belief in our own ability and our attitude will certainly be right for the final."
