The All County Football Leagues get underway this Thursday March 12th. 

Trim and Moynalvey kickstart the Division 1. Both teams had successful runs in the Feis Cup and Corn na Boinne, reaching the semi finals stage. This is a repeat of last year’s Division 2 final. Trim came out on top that day in Summerhill. 

Junior champions Clann na nGael begin life in Division 2 with a trip to Simonstown. The Athboy/Rathcairn outfit lost out to Walterstown in last years Division 3 decider before going on to claim the Peter McDermott Cup.

The meeting of Navan O’Mahony’s and Oldcastle should attract a large crowd to Millbook. The North Meath town came out on top in their most recent meeting, the opening round of the Corn na Boinne.

Nothing beats a local derby to open a league campaign. Curraha make the short trip to Ashbourne to take on the ‘Moors’ second string in the opening round of Division 4.

The action continues on Friday night and round 1 concludes on Sunday.
