Predictions for winner of NFL Division 1?

Thanks Game2Halves, looking like a league of 2 halves for the second year in a row! Saying that, like when the hurlers turned up in Mullingar last week, I think we'll see Westmeath put in their best performance to date.

1560430 Derry deserved their victory today sharper and hungry for the ball the ref had a shocker,their could have been at least 3 black cards and a pen.Lynch MOM doc bradley all had great games the dubs looked ordinary but as i say take them out of croker evens it out a bit.Not bad when everyone said we would be relegated 7pts we will take that.

Well done on your win and its good to see a Derry side playing well , But at best we had 2 of our normal back 6 playing and 1 of our front 6 playing so less of the "they look ordinary when taken out of croker stuff". though you can only play and beat whats in front of you so well done.

My point was how much time was lost for that incident ( Philly could off being sent of for that challenge, looked liked he used a closed fist ),
at least 2mins 30 secs for that alone. The amount of time wasted kicking the ball out and getting the ball back into play is a disgrace,

agree derry deserved there victory,as for take them out of croker evens the odds,in your dreams mate,that was a dubs b/c team,do you really believe that result would be the same in the summer?

Well Done to derry Today. Great display all round.One thing for sure if Cavan meet you this year youse will be a different proposition than last year. Mark Lynch and Benny Heron magnificent up front and Fergal doherty masterful at midfield. thought also Caolain O' boyle was doing well until he got that punch in the back of the neck . philly mcmahon was lucky not to have got a yellow for that and certainly deserved the straight red for his back swing on Lynch. Ref seemed reluctant to issue black cards. thought one or two should have issued earler, also he could have played advantage when dublin got the goal that never was. but overall Derry deserved it. great to see Alan brogan back to his best. he is some player when he is fully fit.

Good display by Derry today against an albeit Dublin second string. Mark Lynch was super as was the imperious Doc in midfield. Referee was poor to both sides. McBride, mcKaigue and Craig struggled badly against the dubs full forward line. If they defended like that against the dubs in Croker in an ai q final it would be a whitewash, Bernard Brogan would score 10 or 11 points. Still though , Derry on an upward trajectory, a run in the league would be great. I'd like to see pj mccloskey back in the middle with Doc and we definitely need Skinner back along with McGuckin in the ff line. Roll on Donegal in the first round.

The last time Dublin played outside of Croke Park(in the champ),they just about beat Longford by two points in Longford... Playing in Croker basically all the time is a serious advantage to Dublin,it cannot be denied..

I said after the match today to another guy that I wished we had of put out a stronger team because now all we are going to hear for the next few days is Dublin are no good outside croker. If I wasn't from Dublin I might probably be saying the same I don't know.
But your advantage today was not that ye played the Dubs outside croker it was a combination of the team we fielded and ye were up for it, ye probably would of won in croker today also.

Hard to disagree with that, but what can we do? Having said that, I doubt we would be sending out half-arsed teams like we did today if we were playing away in the championship!

Agreed 100% with 93vintageyear. Playing Dublin outside of Croke Park is a massive advantage altogether when they're on a discover Ireland trip as they'd call it.

People atarting to see the massive advantage Dublin are getting with 80% of their games in Croke Park. The large home crowd does intimidate other sides because this Dublin squad is very, very average and are carried along by the noise and emotion of Croke Park. It would have been interesting to see them and Kerry compete in Ulster where they would have had to travel for many games and tough it out; they wouldn't have half their All Irelands if they had.
