Yes and he was carrying a injury most of last year and aggravated it before galway game maybe it was that game. I was told it happened in training but perhaps it was that game. But no one can tell me that biggy is not a special player. His performances in 10 where upto lein final all tv pundits. Papers etc was saying he would be player of year etc and should have won a all star only the pc crowd could not have a meath man on it after what happened. His performance in obyrne cup against wexford and louth his brilliance in 2 games in league by that I mean his work rate. He is class and only for been injured last year the same would apply. I would agree with you if you said it about cian or joe or even sometimes brayo but consistent good performers like Graham reilly when he is not injured I can not. royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 19449 - 28/02/2012 20:42:18 1119359 Link 0 |

He is 23 this year. And no other Meath starter played in that round of League fixtures Royal Dunne. So I'm not sure that was a sign of him carrying an injury. Loyal2TheRoyal (Meath) - Posts: 4522 - 28/02/2012 21:14:50 1119389 Link 0 |
Doublehop my heath is fine. Pace yourself yes. But is relagation to div 3 not taking it a bit too far? royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 19449 - 28/02/2012 21:22:48 1119391 Link 0 |

Loyal I can guarantee he was injured all last year and played when he should not have played for his county. I don't want to go into it too much but he aggravated injury before galway game fact. You are wrong on this one I'm afraid. To respect the lad I will not clarify this on a forum but I absolutely know I'm right on this the only issue I cannot say is whether he aggravated it in training or in that match. But he was injured for 90% of last year. Yes bray is a fantastic player and because he is former all star and around longer I'd have to say he is our most valuable player but biggy is closing in on that title royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 19449 - 28/02/2012 21:36:36 1119400 Link 0 |
Royal Dunne, why was he playing League matches in between Qualifier games if he was supposed to be injured? No other Meath player played in those League matches. Whatever you think was wrong with him, it wasn't reason enough for him to miss a game. And I don't think it was a reason for you to excuse his below par performances. The fact is he carried a back injury for the majority of last year. Fact. If he was not injured how do you explain his sudden return to form? But I guess you have your own agenda for your views. But on biggy I know the fact was he was injured. Should he have been playing club or county with it. Imo no. That is one thing where he was let down. A player always wants to play if they 50% or more fit even if they carrying a niggle. But its up to managers to say no. royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 19449 - 29/02/2012 08:53:12 1119433 Link 0 |
There's a lot of football to be played before anyone gets relegated. doublehop (Kildare) - Posts: 4172 - 29/02/2012 08:55:06 1119434 Link 0 |
Doublehop is it not right to say that only game any team in this div can see as a win is wmeath? Those that are in the situation where monaghan yous and derry and galway have to play them so if you loose this weekend the likelihood is that galway will be on 5 if derry manage to beat louth they on 2. That would leave wmeath and kildare on 0. What I asked is, is that pacing yourself or is it ideal for a team who not only have ambitions of winning leinster but see themselves as genuine contenders for the all ire itself. Now could kildare turn it all around ? Yes. But if this situation happens this weekend will the fans patience begin to run out. You still have not answered that nor has anyone from kildare. And surely if no points on table come 10pm saturday this must be asked? royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 19449 - 29/02/2012 10:27:42 1119481 Link 0 |
royaldunce, if kildare win saturday, they'll be on 2 points with westmeath yet to play. a loss on saturday for meath could spell relegation. Gammy_Knee (USA) - Posts: 1482 - 29/02/2012 10:50:05 1119497 Link 0 |
