Looks like good conditions for football this weekend, i fancy st martins and Castletown, so far my tips have been poor this year

I think it's hard to look past Castletown in senior. Dispatched a good side like Gusserane easily enough. They never panic and can't see Shels getting close. Hope I'm wrong as would like to see a good game.

Martins have been impressive enough so far but don't think you can write off Ballyhogue. With both winning there hurling last weekend, both will have been celebrating but I think I'd say the Martins to win.

Junior will be close. Looking at both sets of results have been similar. Blackwater beat a strong Castletown team while Buffers alley put up a big score against albeit a poor Island team. Think who handles the wind better will win, going to say Blackwater.

Junior A, Joes have made significant progress over last few years but Davidstown have been putting up big scores all year. Can't see anything only a Davidstown victory.

For junior b martins have a number of player who probably should be with there second team. Castletown have a few seasoned veterans but again think Martins will win out.

I think Ballyhogue the most likely to win of the teams you want to win. Then Shels.

Great win for Cloughbawn in parnell park 7pt win in the end . 4 09 to 13pts . Down by 2pts with 5 to go some turn around . Conal flood a kehoe and whittys to the fore .
Thought after hurling they would struggle and did look tired but once they got a sniff of a victory the energy levels soared again well done to them .
2 of my predictions down already thank god .

Was at it. Very well organised at the back and on the break they were unstoppable with their pace and off the shoulder movement. I don't think cloughban keeper had one save to make, but could be wrong on that, which says it all if true. Finnians put it up to them with a very vocal home crowd but cloughban kept upping the pace of the game and closed it out. Very impressed with them. They clearly put last week behind them which is not easy to do in space of 6-7 days.

Intermediate final was a hard watch. Don't think St Martins will threaten the top teams in senior but fair play to them winning it out playing every weekend both codes.

funny was saying last night except for the 2 senior semis i thought the standard this year has been quite good given the joke of a system we run the championship is run, its a total farce

The Martins are a good side, better than a lot of senior teams i think.

But yeah the game never got going last night and they looked like they had another few gears if needed. Wasn't a great watch and I reckon Ballyhougue will be kicking themselves, they never turned up really yet had an easy enough free to get back to within a point, Roche had an unfortunate slip, Martins went back up the pitch and ultimately sealed the game with their goal.

Barry O Connor is some man to field a ball and thought Darren Codd had a serious game along with Daithi Waters. Shane Doyle worked hard for Ballyhougue but they just never reached the heights of other games.

I was at the intermediate game, st martins always in control ,daithi and barry controlled midfield, 6 backs very tight markers, very good free taker in young oisin waters , firman took his goal well, could get a descent run in leinster

Ballyhogue only 5 or 6 pts from play last 150 odd minutes of football. Need to do some serious work with their forwards if they want to close that gap.

Disappointing senior game, never really came to lift. Overall for me it's been a poor football championship this year, semis poor, final poor. No excitement last round of group games either. Standard isn't great. Martins could definitely have a good shot at intermediate Leinster.

The senior may not have been a classic, but if was some team performance from Castletown. Shels completely off-kilter and let themselves down after the full time whistle. Ironic considering the worst challenge of the game came from them- just take your beating.

To a man, Castletown were excellent, Higgins the game changer again, but others pushed him for MOTM, especially young O'Hagan starting his first final. None of Shels big names really stood up, apart from Donohoe and Conor Hearne. They were too focused on hitting two-pointers in the first half, successful from only one. Castletown picked them apart with ease every time they turned the ball over.

Back-to-back titles and three in four years puts them down as one of the best club sides ever in terms of consistency, and they are the first team to retain on four different occasions.

Unbelievable weekend for the club with the junior B's winning too. Never seen indiscipline like it in the second half from Martins. Completely lost the head. Special mention to Colm Morris, surely one of the oldest ever goal scorers in a county final?

As mentioned above not a classic but castletown know how to win these type of games they were always in control of it,was heading out the gap as saying goes when the carry on at the end started so can't comment on that well done to cloughbawn great win today done very well too lift themselves after loss last weekend best of luck to them and all the wexford clubs in leinster football/hurling

Never a good thing when you have supporters coming onto the pitch and getting involved in scuffles

You'd imagine there will be suspensions coming

You've put no context to any of your post and blamed other teams as a Castletown supporter no doubt. Yes Shels started that row by as far as i saw but I understand the Castletown player that got hit had plenty to say to the said player. Yes supporters shouldn't be involved but also players shouldn't be saying stuff, I consider that to be the lowest of the low and both sides were throwing plenty of punches at the end, so for me both sides let themselves down.

Secondly the Martins sendings off in the junior b steamed from the player who got hit, for his previous few days antics before the game, with Ciaran Lyng not being allowed play. Again Martins shouldn't be hitting players but at least when you call out opposition teams, at least put some context to it.

And by the way, I don't support either team but I've been told the back story from those teams supporters of why those instances occurred.
