Was surprised Nolan didn't even get a yellow

Conor Foley
Eoin Ryan

Liam Ryan
S Donohue
Conor hearne
S Reck
J O Connor
Lee Chin
R O Connor
R Lawlor
Casey
Cian Byrne"
Think Hanlon is still worth his place but Eoin Ryan has done really well. Can't see Jippo be played centre back although would love to see it too. Hoping the young lads inside continue to fire . Wouldn't it be great to have lads off the bench like Mac, Liam Og , Dee, Dunbar ,CBD and Devitt we could have real game changers there

Very hard to pick a best 15 which is a great problem for Rossi to have! Eoin is a little light and the worry about Niall might be pace when the ground hardens up. Time will tell! Maybe Matthew wing back and Dooley cornerback? I think Kevin Foley has to start, he's been one of our best players all year. Mikie a great lad to bring off the bench also.
Would still like to see Doyle get a run against Cork, he's been one of the most prolific players in the squad this year in the games he's played, except the Carlow game. Top scorer from play by a good bit in all the challenge games I've seen him in, and wins 2 or 3 scorable frees every game also.

Id agree with you Kevin Foley has to start. Dwyer's pace is a great option off the bench too and can also see Cian Molloy coming back into contention. Can't remember the last time a Wexford manager had as many options hopefully they can all stay fit come championship.

How was this a free in or what rule did he enforce ?

I think he indicated our player faked the foul / injury

I watched it backed with headphones in so could hear the sideline mic vividly, don't know weather its Lyons, the linesman or someone involved with Waterford carrying hurls or water but someone was shouting at Murphy to get up making out he was making a meal of it, if its an official it looks very bad on them.

Team for first round of Championship. Might and probably won't be team that finishes the championship but based on what I've seen and maybe a bit on last few years too.
1.Fanning
2. Liam Ryan
3. Foley
4. Shane Reck
5. Dee O'Keefe
6. Damien Reck
7. Matthew O'Hanlon
8. Conor Hearne
9. Corey Byrne Dunbar
10. Kevin Foley
11. Chin
12. Rory O'Connor
13. Richie Lawlor
14. Seamus Casey
15. Cian Byrne
Jack O'Connor, Conor McDonald, Liam Og, Mikie Dwyer, Cathal Dunbar, Niall Murphy, Simon Donohue, Tucker, etc subs. It's looks like a bit depth created. Might be a bit harsh on some lads on subs but don't think they've enough credit left in the bank over last few years to justify coming straight back in or maybe have missed a bit too much to start straight away. Dee O'Keefe wing back I'd like to see tried again, was super there before. Does anyone else think Liam Og would be a good wing back? Once again this is only a bit of fun but I'd like to see a team like that atm. Would like to see other people's guess or what they'd like to see being starting team for first round of Leinster. At least it shows it won't be same team as last few years anyways.

Think Dee could be under pressure to start first round but would like to see him tried wing back. Less running than midfield may be able to save his legs and he has the hurling

I wouldn't be a fan of that idea at all. I could see a big half-forward absolutely eating him alive. I think I remember it happening in the not too distant past too.

Yeah it was absolutely bizarre to watch. The Wexford lads didn't know whether to mark them or go back to their positions. I could kind of see what they were trying to do, the amount of space for the midfielder to puck the ball into in front of the two in the full forward line was massive. So if they win the throw they have oceans of space to play the ball into for the two forwards left inside.

I never agreed with Waterford giving the job to Davy in the first place. All I ever hear from him is " we lost our shape". What is our shape. It is what he is instructing them to so. However I can't believe how everyone is writing our epitaph. We have lost one game by a point. One by two points and one by three points. A total of 5 points over three games. The first two played with half the first team available. Not much better last week. That is too much for a county with our resources. You and others will be eating humble pie this year. Especially stating "Waterford will Finnish bottom of the Munster Championship." How insulting and condescending before a ball is struck. This is coming from someone with the height of admiration for Limerick and always my second choice in Munster with Wexford my first in Leinster.

It happened in the league semi final v Tipp in 2017

Wingback is a load of running up and down the pitch. Think he'd be better as a 3rd/sitting midfielder. He knows where to be, when to be there, can play good ball inside, he reads the game really well.

He's plays better for us and the county team when he's sitting deeper

I was going to say this during the week - I think we have to learn to walk before we can run with a team like Limerick, they'd simply overpower us in the middle third and even at that if you go off of 2018 and 2022 we were favourites vs Kilkenny and Waterford and got blown out of the water, the Waterford game was over by half time , it would be a good test for them but then a 20-25 point hammering could be bad for their confidence.

And also just to add to this I'd be fearful of something like this vs Dublin or Galway - usually have very big lads between to two 45s

I wouldn't take any notice.

Waterford have loads of hurlers and things can click fairly quickly.

I don't think Davy is doing ye any good though to be fair.
