Replying To Doylerwex:  "I believe that 100%

He played for Wexford for 20 years from under 14 through to senior and average 3 points from play every day regardless of who he was on.

Absolutely incredible level of consistency."
Yes and a great role model for young lads also.

Replying To Afinestick96:  "Are ROC and Mac likely to be involved? Can't see the sense in risking Chin . If we don't get lads back on the field this week it's worrying we'll have 7-8 of our experienced players who have seen very little game time over the league although the young lads have done very well so far"
Agreed, I thought a lot of the more experienced players would at least be back in the 26 this weekend, has to be a concern that likes of ROC, Ryan and Mac will little or no game time before the championship. Don't get the point of naming dummy teams at the best of times, especially for a league game in Waterford. Kinsella will replace Chin I'd say.

Paul was/is a class act on and off the field.

You always knew once he got the ball into his hand a score was coming.

Looking at Waterford team very strong team on paper. Would expect Davy to start Hutchinson and Shane Bennett

It's still 6 weeks til the championship starts. If lads aren't 100% yet then there's no point risking them, especially as the pitches are heavier and there's more chance of injury or re-injury. Look what happened to us in PUC last year. If Chin isn't fit to start I'd like to see Mark Byrne given the start.

He was such a crafty natural forward, his performances in the qualifiers in 2014 were great in particular vs Waterford

Cian Byrne, Niall Murphy, Shane Reck and Conor Hearne flying it too.

Matthew O Hanlon needs this game and a lot more hurling, he is way off the pace and you'd worry about the other lads who have not been involved yet.

Miracle that dessie Hutchinson stayed on the field there.

Fantastic game that was.

Super start for Waterford.

Once we tidied up our shooting and stopped conceding silly frees we were much the better side.

We should have won by more.

I'm thrilled with that for two reasons.

We were massively written off as going down. It's only us Clare and Limerick unbeaten now.

We're still missing more key players than most sides.

I hope Davy sees today that he made a huge mistake treating Casey the way he did.

Cork ref giving a free in was quite unbelievable!

We did some mad things in the last 10 mins but that's a great win after the first 20 mins.

That done my heart good, what we do know now is there are a crop of young lads in Wexford who are willing to die on the pitch for the purple and gold.

There are some lads who are going to have to fight very very hard to get into the first 15 come Championship which is exactly what Rossiter wants and needs.

We should. Stupid mistake for their goal. We were much the better side in the second half, faltered a bit in the last ten minutes but had enough to see it out.

Casey was in nowhere near the same physical condition back then! Mac won't get back with Casey playing like he is. First touch, movement and striking on turn is superb.

Fantastic win. We need everyone lads, it's great we are building a panel. No need to rush the injured lads back.

Good to see the younger players taking their chance, should certainly motivate those waiting to come back to up their game. Casey looks a class player, never got a chance under Davy.

Delighted with the fight shown today, great attitudes and great win. Waterford had some big players on with Jamie Barron, Shane Bennett, Dessie H coming on and we held our own.

Can't see Mac starting but a good man to bring in with 20mins to go.

Mac still a very dangerous man under a high pall round the square.

But Mac wouldn't suit the way Rositter wants these players to run, track back and play.

Satisfying day for Wexford and Casey in particular, good to see the wheel moving without the likes of Chin who I thought we couldn't do without, valuable game time for the younger players who all contributed well, Waterford lost there shape completely in the second half, chasing goals and dropping balls short without a forward within 30 yard of the goal, glad Davy was on the opposition bench a great manager but the game moves on too.
