The nay sayers are coming out of the woodwork now to write the epitaph of Limerick. it is okay to look at results for encouragement but it is a long road that does not have a twist. This team has plenty of fuel in the tank still and lots of under belly for the fight.

Haven't seen too many (or any) naysayers. Anyone I've been talking to say they'll still walk the all ireland

Youd have to think Limerick luckily beating Waterford & losing at home to Clare shows Limerick have come back to the pack. I think Tipperary will beat Limerick in Thurles and Limerick will beat Cork in the Final Match for third spot .
Clare v Tipperary Munster final this year.

I think Tipp will give it to Limerick in Thurles but the 3 week break I think was just the tonic for Limerick to regroup and focus and I expect Limerick to win.

I'd love if you were right but theres no chance of it happening. Tipp in my opinion dominated both Clare and Cork for the vast majority of both games and in my opinion looked 8-10 points better than both. That might sound cocky but I said Limerick were 12+ points better than us in the league and I understand the final score is all that matters. My point is that Tipp are leaking scores at a rate as bad as I've ever seen and we are basically playing with about 5 backs and 9 forwards in our starting team. Our midfielders (whoever has played there at diff stages) have all been excellent going forward but giving no protection to the backs who are really short of pace. I think Limerick will try run down the middle against Tipp and try exploit the space inside also, where as the worrying thing from Tipp is Limerick are the only team this year that havent given us a sniff of a goal.

The next game will tell us more but I've a feeling Limerick got it wrong in the period between league and cship and trained too hard after the league final- given Kielys comments before the Waterford game. They'll be ready for Tipp and will win comfortably - I hate to say it.

Just looking and going through the permutations I think there's a good chance that Limerick can't afford to lose either of their last two games. I dont for a second think they will but if they could be in trouble assuming Clare win one of their remaining two games and Tipp and Cork can get at least a point from their remaining two.

All 5 teams can still qualify and still go out. Thats pretty incredible. Cork will need to win in either ennis or limerick which will not be Easy. Limerick might need to win both if certain fixtures pan out. The one thing is limerick will know this before they take to the field v Tipp. Waterford if the spirit is still good might fancy clare at the weekend. If they can gey some players match fit they'll still be hard to beat. If clare beat Waterford they'll still possibly need to beat cork as if cork win they'll be in the 3 with limerick then having to get the 2 wins. Tipp are in the strongest position now in that they just need a win at home v Waterford but it'll be Waterfords 3rd match in thurles. Waterford really need a crows behind them. I don't see it and Tipp have had a very poor crowd out for them so far but with limerick in thurles they'll come out for that. Surely the team has earned it

Limerick will have 3/4 of the stadium v Tipp. The Tipp support has been shocking so far. Barely a whimper in Ennis and just as bad down in Cork. Very surprising.

All depends on fitness and form, play like we did against Clare or Waterford i.e. not bad by any means but just off in terms of energy, movement, touch and shooting and there is a chance we get beaten by an ever improving Tipp team, play close to the standards that we know we can play to and there is a strong chance we win. Its all to play for, i've no doubts Tipp on their home patch will relish this one, could well be another cracker of a match.

They won't have 3/4 of it that's for sure. You can expect a large Tipp crowd for a home game against the All Ireland champions. Don't worry ;-)

I know that it is a footballing issue, but I couldn't find a topic about Limerick football anywhere. I know that there used to be a very good one, BACK WHEN all counties, including Cavan and Meath, had their own forums. In all this bungling together, lots of people no longer post about what they used to be inclined to post about.

Anyway, the issue is: Has Mike Donovan left Galbally, and moved to St. Finbarr's? He's named as a St. Finbarr's player in the program for the Longford game.

I heard this as well this morning not sure if it's something to throw Tipp off the scent of smelling blood. Unlikely but I was told for personal reasons he left the panel.

Does he have a name, initials or position he plays in?!
