Ratoath 3 championships in 4 years with 3 different managers would suggest it doesn't matter too much who is the manager. The players are clearly driving it.

Wouldn't matter who is the Ratoath manager they are a formidable bunch of lads with leaders all over the field. Kevin Reilly is a proven manager with Trim. They are looking to win Leinster so will look for the best, They have the finances to back it up as well. The drive to win the hurling could be hindering their progress though. Reilly won't want the same issues as he had in Trim with lads split between both codes.

I hear Paddy Martin is gone back to the Tones. He brought them to the final a few years back and took Meath hill to the junior title no mean feat in itself.

Has Reilly taken over at Ratoath or is it just a rumour?

Rumours will always fly however David Brady's departure was strange.

After chatting a few people in the know I am made to believe there was a fallout over the Leinster campaign, Ill leave it at that. Committees can have a huge part to play in situations and doesn't take much for the whole lot to turn sour.

Brady was all set to stay however...............................................

Any other appointments confirmed by clubs? Surely most clubs have got someone in place at this stage

I think with the absence of a standout team (Dunshaughlin/Trim) the IFC is the most compettitive next year. Anyone know of any vacancies? Will Big Joe stay on and go one step further? I hear Meath Hill manager has gone to Cortown and Nick Fitzgerald over Kildalkey, does this mean a new man at the helm in under achievers Ballivor? And will Longwood manage to convince anyone stupid enough to take on a dual role. I imagine all clubs are sorted now this close to Xmas.

There was no fall out and up to last weekend David Brady hadn't decided, himself, if he was staying or departing.

Ratoath want to keep the coach that Brady has, a Roscommon man I think, but they don't want to keep Brady

That would be Kevin Stritch from Roscommon alright who Brady rates very highly based on interviews. Stritch was involved when Castleknock got to a county final in 2016 and also has coaching spells with Longford and Galway I believe.

Didn't Brady bring him in? The coach would hardly stay on if they are looking to sack the lad that brought him to the club....... Or would he???

It is being reported now by the Meath Chronicle and others that Ratoath and David Brady have parted company. Kevin Reilly the front runner to replace Brady.
