There was a post on the Wexford board last year which should never have seen the light of day and the writer should be ashamed."
Wouldn't make a difference unfortunately because they can get a new number and setup a new username to join their other AKAs. Should be asked to produce ID verification before your username is proven to be unique. That's not worth the expense to Hoganstand when it's free to have a username account. Ideally there should be no need for any verification though, posters agree to disagree and discuss various topics without hassle.
Even this current version of the HS forum is reasonable enough, it may not be as user friendly and may lack a bit of modernization but it still has its own fan base.
The HS forum of a few years ago had its own standards and a time frame that it worked to which was reasonably reliable, whereas now it's very much unpredictable, I think the volume of postings are getting less and less so if that's the case they should be released faster.
It's my belief that when Kilkenny folk stopped posting the decision was taken to retire and deactivate Kilkenny, then Offaly and Armagh (from memory) and about six more counties were retired and deactivated for the same reason it was sort of losing its appeal and becoming imbalanced.
I could never understand how / why Kilkenny folk stopped posting here during a time when they were clocking up senior all Ireland titles and creating history in the making of their successes. It's my own belief that by restructuring the forum they would be making it more inclusive, because let's face it did lack a bit of inclusiveness.
Every poster here with the exception of none is a potential troll, as for wind up merchants well I would refer to them as black comedians or something like that.
The quality of post been released by the mod has to get the ok, what is held back has to be agreed on as well so the litto scanner ultimately decides what passes and what doesn't, probably a recalibration would do the trick, Having said all that, its only my opinion.

Maybe the Kilkenny people were using other forums much more and saw here as a tired and outdated set up. Lots of counties have their own forums on their own websites or people use bigger sites like boards...

I take your point and you do make sense but 25% of counties removed is a lot, the changes that were made to this forum 12 months ago suggest to me that they are preparing themselves for more of the same so to speak.
