Awful game of football. Donegal need a complete rethink and overhaul of coaching. Well done to Derry and this will likely be the high point of their year. Dublin or Kerry for Sam.

Very poor affair. We can't blame the players as they are carrying out their managers orders toa tee. It really is a horrible style of football to watch. Club teams in my own county play similar and you would be fit to tear your hair out at times watching it.

Still 100 times better than the phoney Leinster and Munster Championships.

Well done Derry the better team won. Unless Bonnar wins the all ireland he will have to be replaced, for all the talent we have under achieved for years

Congrats to Derry and Gallagher a great victory. Never warmed to Gallagher for his antics on the sideline but he really showed he is one of the best coaches around today the way he managed that game and how spirited and motivated his Derry side were today and whole of championship. In his interview afterwards he acknowledged they planned to get Rogers to take on murphy and ended man of the match. His response as well telling interviewer he'd won his ulsters before as part of mgmt team in donegal showed a winners mentality. Donegal got right back into game but not for first time under bonner were too risk adverse when the finishing line neared.

Yeah, what were Derry playing at!? Who needs tactics when you can just do what Kildare or Limerick did yesterday - go toe to toe with a superior opponent and get beaten out the gate.

The big factor coming into the game was Donegal's reliance on handpassing the ball into the scoring zone, running at an opposition player and then throwing themselves to the ground, for their reliable free takers to kick points throughout the game.

When this happened in the 8th minute and a referee gave a free out to the shock of Donegal players it was obvious a referee had his homework done or as he is an Ulster referee maybe knew of the tactic.

At that stage I thought Derry have a great chance. To be fair it led Donegal to look for scores from play and they hit some great points, but without those usual easy scores were never going to pull away from Derry.

This allowed Derry to remain competitive and by extra time had a greater will to win and a greater all round fitness to become Ulster Champions. I think it's the end of this Donegal team, they've had a great decade and fair play to them but new teams are coming through Ulster and they're nowhere near the standard of Dublin or Kerry.

As for Derry the All Ireland is unlikely but they've just beaten three Division 1 teams so that gives a clue of their ability. They avoid Dublin or Kerry to the final so it wouldn't be a surprise if they end up in an All Ireland Final and then who knows. Congratulations to them.

Donegal were not a superior opponent. They were 2 equally matched teams.

I know it wasn't a pretty game to watch, but Marty Morrisssey complaining about fist passing, did he not watch football from 2015 until 2020 ?
