Himself and Whitaker are stars for the future. Both played together for Marist team which came close to beating Naas in Leinster. Naas went on to win All Ireland. The county u20 team were very good this year. Unfortunately the lads absolutely collapsed in the second half against Dublin after they got an early goal in the second half. St Joseph's used to be with Kilbeggan at underage but apparently Kilbeggan felt they could paddle their own canoe. Joes seemed to going well on their own - in the U19 Div 3 Final this Sun. Indeed well done to all 6. Another example of the positive impact of this tournament for participating teams. Loughlin and Dolan probably not enough game time perhaps. Did Leitrim's Keith Beirne do enough to win one ? Outstanding footballer and top scorer in the league this is for the TC. Leitrim went out at quarter final stage to Sligo on penalties. Cavan with 4 might have expected another one. McCartan had some season but OToole's work rate up front (as seen in recent county final) was phenomenal and should be POTY alright. Look maybe I shouldnt have compared to him to Heslin but the Baker boy is a special talent.
