Replying To Claretandblue:  "The man of the match in the senior final yesterday is only a day or two overage for minor, David O' Reilly showed incredible maturity yesterday in every part of his game, high fielding, brave, accurate, good positional sense and always took the right option. It's some achievement to be man of the match at just 17 in the semi final and final. He was involved in 6-7 scores in the second half and Clonkill couldn't deal with him. Seems an unassuming young man and a hugely popular recipient of the man of the match award."
I'm sure Joe Fortune will be looking at O'Reilly ahead of the new year.

Give the lad a break. That's the last thing he needs. He's a brilliant dual player and senior county would rob him of that. Let him do the LC.
On a separate note the lack of competition outside the top three and the order of games they played meant clonkill were completely undercooked for that final. No sharpness or intensity. CTG would have beaten whatever was in front of them but its a pity it was one-sided.

Well it's inevitable really, after the championship he's had, back to back man of the match performances in semi final and final. Obviously he's going to come under consideration for the county senior panel, it'd be delusional to think otherwise.

Fortune included Eamon Cunneen and Jamie Mulkearns last year after they had a good year with Raharney, so I can just see something similar. Those guys were also doing LC at the time.

Those Raharney youngsters didn't necessarily benefit by being included on the senior county panel at such a young age. Young O' Reilly needs to be carefully handled with school matches, dual commitments, county under 19s and the LC. He's a potential inter county player for ten years but he's only 17, time enough being included in 12-18 months.

Did the wing back for father Daltons, o Rourke his name I think ever play County at any level, seen him first half of County final win, looked a good worker and nice hurler, could have potential to work with there

Colm O' Rourke, son of Denis a former hurler for Dalton's and now club chairman. He's a fine hurler, had an excellent final, good stick work, might need a season of conditioning but he has a lot of good attributes to be an inter county hurler. I'm certain he played underage for the county.

CTG - Buddha will stay on
Raharney - will have a new manager
Clonkill - will have a new manager
LLG - will have a new manager
Pollard - management will stay
Cullion - unsure

You'd imagine daltons manager will stay on
Whereas Jody murray will surely be out of delvin after 2 years losing a final

Now that the championship is over, my team of the year (Senior A) would be;
1. Kieran Glennon (Castletown Geoghegan)
2. Sean Quinn (Raharney)
3. Tommy Doyle (Lough Lene Gaels)
4. Darragh Egerton Egerton (Clonkill)
5. David Hickey (Raharney)
6. Liam Varley (Castletown Geoghegan)
7. Conor Regan (Cullion)
8. Mick Heeney (Castletown Geoghegan)
9. David Devine (Castlepollard)
10. Peter Clarke (Castletown Geoghegan
11. Killian Doyle (Raharney)
12. David O'Reilly (Castletown Geoghegan)
13. Niall O'Brien (Castletown Geoghegan)
14. Darragh McCormack (Castlepollard)
15. Niall Mitchell (Clonkill)

Just my team, I'm sure others would have different opinions on who should be in there!

Personally wouldn't agree with jogger, Sean Quinn, Conor regan, possibly even Killian doyle

I was just going off the games I seen and I seen the majority of them. Of course everyone is going to have a different opinion on it! Who would you have in there yourself in place of the 3/4 players mentioned?

Jogger and Killian Doyle were outstanding in any game I saw. Couldn't not be on that selection, Johnny Bermingham likewise.

Jogger played at centre back for the 1st 3 games, played at 3 against pollsrd and clonkill, had his hands full against pollard

You are gone very quiet.. it's shows that castletown have a very good and solid team to play in 4 county finals in a row and I don't think they are a aging team either..
